Nestled in an idyllic location within stunning countryside and with panoramic views, this quiet camp site is set out on our family-run farm in Donkleywood, Hexham and is in Northumberland’s Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

 

Situated within the picturesque hamlet of Donkleywood our site is a friendly, quiet, low-key site catering to  grass pitches and our own bell tents. Whether you are a couple, a family or a solo traveller looking for a camping experience within outstanding beauty you will find your perfect stay with us. 

 

We are a green site in every sense; we recycle or compost all waste and we have many areas on site left to grow wild for our local wildlife, including squirrels and various birdlife along with our own sheep and goats. We will shortly be operating as a dark sky site, providing breath taking stargazing opportunities and even the occasional view of the Northern Lights. Donkleywood sits less than 10 miles from the beautiful village of Bellingham, where you can dine or just take in a few drinks at our sister company The Black Bull Hotel. You are also 10 miles from the spectacular Hareshaw waterfall.

 

We offer special rates for walkers and cyclists with tents but no cars - when booking online look for the "no car small" pitch size.
